The idea of the movie started the moment I finished seeing the film of Club Ventos, it made me called my travel agency right away to book my flight to Jeri. At that moment I realized the potential movies can have over the people! I said to myself, I want windsurfers to come to Colombia, so Colombia needs a movie.

First, I contacted my great friend and pro rider Michael Rossmeier (Rossi), which is a Colombian Ambassador to the windsurf community. He liked the idea and told me about coming to Colombia to help me materialize my project (as a co-producer). But we needed at least one more rider. Rossi told me Philip Soltysiak was interested in coming to Colombia, and I had also heard that from him in Lanzarote during the PWA freestyle event on 2009 ( I was the first colombian ever to attend a freestyle world championship). I met with Philip again on Jeri and told him more details about the project. He really liked it, and was interested in finding out new spots to windsurf. Philip is such a great guy he always has a smile on his face :)

Now, with two great riders, the idea was to make a documentary to change the perception of the international community about the relationship of Colombia and illegal drugs. To do that I needed to show cool stuff about Colombia. That included, people, tourist places, and windsurf spots! By the way I also wanted to make some beach cleaning during the trip to let the world know it's not all pleasure, we need to take care of our planet.

I also needed some financial support, and since I had just started my NGO called El Color Azul (The Color Blue) which main task is preserve the marine ecosystem, this would be a great project to receive donations! Our main sponsors are ORCO S.A., and Hotel Las Americas, without them this would have been impossible. I also want to thank PROEXPORT which is the government institution responsible for promoting exports, foreign investment and tourism, for helping me promote the film.

If I can change the way one person thinks about my country, I will have fulfilled my goal.
